Criticism of inflation from İmamoğlu: "They present the drop to 35 percent as a success"

IMM President Ekrem İmamoğlu , who is under arrest in Silivri, criticized the government with a post on his social media account. Stating that "the crisis is growing", İmamoğlu said, "My dear nation, high inflation is a choice. Bad management is the cause, inflation is the result. Inflation will not fall where the law does not work. The solution is with us."

Sharing on social media platform X, İmamoğlu made the following statement;

"Those who took office two years ago with 38% inflation are presenting the drop to 35% as a "success" despite all the suffering the nation has gone through. The appreciation belongs to our nation!

This administration continues to stand on the side of the privileged segment they created, not the people.

The Minister says, "The program is working." I agree: The plan to impoverish the nation is working like clockwork! The low-income group is getting a lot of raises. While the hunger threshold exceeds 26 thousand liras, the minimum wage is 22 thousand, and the lowest retirement salary is not even 17 thousand liras.

Those who increased the price of natural gas by 24% overnight are trying to convince us that food inflation is falling.

Bad governance is the cause, inflation is the effect. Where the law does not work, inflation will not fall. You cannot control inflation with only Central Bank policies. Inflation will not fall without a revolution in agriculture, trade and fiscal policies.

Inflation will not fall unless public expenditures are controlled, the tax system is made fair, industry cannot produce added value and farmers are mired in debt!
